BSA Troop 733 proudly celebrated its 70th Anniversary on July 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Healy Hall, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. The event commenced with a flag ceremony led by troop scouts, followed by introductions and recognition of the troop's charter, with remarks from Catalina Council President Ryan George. Tucson Mayor’s Office sent congratulations and a copper plaque of Award of Appreciation and Recognition. Scouts were honored with merit badge presentations and a roll call of past Eagle Scouts. Highlights included a historical retrospective featuring speeches from various members, including former Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, and a keynote address by the current Assistant Scoutmaster and Eagle Scout Sam Phillips. The program concluded with the presentation of anniversary pins, a cake cutting ceremony led by Father Robert Rodriguez, and a time for fellowship.

Engaged Audience! Former school principal and community activist Dr. Christ Ahearn joined us at the event.
The Reverend Father Robert Rodriguez offered opening blessings and ended the ceremony by cutting a birthday cake with the oldest scout and the youngest active scout of Troop 733. St Joseph Roman Catholic church has been our home for 70 continuous years. They have been the most wonderful host throughout! City of Tucson and Catalina Council presented a copper plaque of Award of Appreciation and Recognition and a framed Charter Certification to honor the strong ties between the Troop and the Church at the event
